I’d go with K9 Advantage. Its a little more expensive but it does work. I have used both and K9 Advantage is worth the money. The prices depend on what size dog you are getting it for.

check petmeds.com for prices, also call around to different vets to see what there prices are cause they do vary.

I didnt realise that these treatments also repelled Mosquitos. We use frontline on our dog- and mosquitos certainly repelled by him.
I am not sure whether Advantix works against Mozzies, either.
As far as flea repellants go, they are both very good. As far as ticks go- Frontline is normall recommended.

As both these products have different active ingredients, it might be an idea to actually purchase both, and use a different product each month- this will stop the animal, and the pest, becoming immune to the treatment.
There are alot of dogs in the US at the moment who seem to have become immune to Frontline this year- using two different products helps ensure that this does not happen.

Stopping flea development means that this product kills fleas within several different flea cycles. Only about 5% of the total flea population is on your dog at any one time. The rest are in larval form or are in eggs. Using these products ensures that the cycle is broken because you kill the fleas whenever they are large enough to grow and reproduce- which stops their development.
