how can people change you to be something you are not. accept that this is your dogs personality. when company comes over put her in your room or someplace she is happy and let her be alone.

You have to train her. You have to show and tell her that she can’t do that. If she tries to bite or growl at other people or dogs tell her No bad girl. And if she continues you have to discipline her. Not abusive but you have to teach her your the boss and you make the rules. They are your family and so is she. She has to play nice. And if she stops when yo tell her to then give her a treat. Also when you take her for walks and she is good bring some treats with you say Good girl and give her a nice bat on the head or a belly rub. She will love you for that.

you need to train her, first of all, to stop her behaviors when you give a command like “stop” or “enough”.

then, for short periods, you need to expose her to the things that seem to be a stressor to her – but in a controlled way. Get a friend or relative to bring their dog and walk it near (not so she can reach it) and if she reacts negatively, give her the command to stop the behavior.

with company, same thing – have a friend or relative help you.

out of curiousity, what breed is she? is she de-sexed? I ask this because some intact females of certain breeds can be VERY territorial, and it isn’t a matter of socializing as it is training them that visitors are okay and other dogs near her home/person are not a threat.
