dogs barking?

Friday May 15, 2009

considering asked:

i have just purchased an ultra sonic anti barking device as my neighbour has complained about my dogs.
has anyone else bought one and do they work??
the device isnt a shock it is a high pitched sound that goes off when dog barks.thought i should make that clear.
dogs get exercise and i leave chews for them so they dont get bored and they are only on there own for 2 to 3 hours on occassional days.would like to hear from someone who has used this type of device.thanks

somebody turned around & shouted:

anti bark

A buddy of mine bought one of those electric shocker collars, and thought it would be mean to use it on the dog so we tried it on ourselves increasing from 1 to 10… 1 to 8 isn’t so bad, but 9 and 10 will either make your straight hair curl or your curly hair straight… Anyway, I’m not familiar with the “Ultra Sonic”, but try it on yourself first and don’t use 9 or 10.

Go to PETCO and try these items. “Premier Gentle Spray Bark Control Pet Training System and Refill.” Bark control Collar is the simple-to-operate bark deterrent that won’t hurt your dog. When your dog barks, a burst of all-natural citronella spray is emitted, which dogs find bothersome to their highly developed olfactory sense of smell. Or even try the, “PetSafe Ultrasonic Bark Control Pet Training System.” Stops your dog’s constant barking almost like magic. Barking activates unit, emitting a two-second ultrasonic sound only be heard by your dog. Startled, your dog will soon associate this unpleasant sound with his behavior and curb unwanted barking.
