It doesn’t have to “dry” for it to protect from fleas. The liquid is absorbed into the skin. The dog will probably have an “oil slick” look on site for a few days until it goes away. Just take him to the park anyway. It will do its job.

It isn’t effective right away once it dries. It must be absorbed into the oil glands then release all over the body to be effective. Wait til tomorrow for the dog park just go for a walk instead. It generally take 12- 24hr before effective & working.

I usually wait a few hours for it to dry, just to be safe. I don’t want other dogs to ingest it, and I don’t want it to rub off while it’s wet.
We had fleas last year when I forgot to apply Advantix one time. It was awful so I take all precautions. Have fun at the park!
