My husband and I have a 3 year old schnauzer/pug mix who only barks when “an intruder” comes in the house. This should be good, right? Well, it would be except for the fact that he does it every time someone comes over. Or if he is left alone, he barks at any sound he hears, like knocking or voices in another room. We are moving into a new apartment on Friday and we are afraid that he will bark when we are gone. Any suggestions? We really don’t want to use anti-bark collars. He has done a little bit better now that we got him a friend (our daschund), but we think he continues to bark to alert us. However, he doesn’t stop unless we stand right by the cage and tell him to stop. This works, except for when we have to leave. Any suggestions? Thank you!

There’s a very dumb Dalmation that lives next door to me, we’re seperated by a chain link fence. This dog barks, non stop, and I mean all day if anyone is in sight. Sometimes he just barks for no apparent reason. It is extremely annoying. I tried to get him to like me by feeding him lunchmeat, it didn’t help. Then I put human anti-depressants in the lunchmeat, nothing. Pretty much the only thing that kinda works is running at him menacingly to make him run away, but he still barks, just from the other side of his people’s house. I love animals, but this one makes me want to beat him with a pole. Is there something I can do to him without physically hurting him?

I personally **** it when someone walks past me in the street with a dog that starts barking at me and scares the crap out of me!!! I find it extremely rude when their owners don’t even apologize. Just the other day, an Alsatian was barking it’s head off right in front of a shop as I was about to go in. I got a massive fright and jumped as I went in, causing the owner to remark “Never heard a dog bark before,eh?”. Do you agree with me or should I be more accepting of our canine “friends”?

Whenever I have friends or family come over to the house, my Chihuahua goes crazy and starts barking. It’s not a friendly bark either. He has run after children and tried biting their feet. Now all my nieces and nephews are afraid to come over to the house. I’ve tried to slowly introduce him to each of them. I even tried to us a ****** bottle to make him stop and nothing is working.

I place him in my bedroom and lock him in there, but he is starting to EAT my door.

I’ve researched many pills online for dogs, but I don’t know where to go from here or if I should even consider that as an option. Let me know what you think!!
