Why can’t people train their small dogs?

Small dogs often get to do what ever they want.
1. Yapping. Owners will stick small dogs in their back yard; and the small dog will yap-yap-yap for 24 hours. Large dog owners train their dogs and I hardly ever see a large dog yapping or barking. Don't they make the anti-barking shock for small dogs?
2. Leshes. Small dogs get to run around free a lot. When I approach the owners asking them to keep their small dog on a leash, I get the dirty look, and sometimes "He/She's harmless". I've never got that behavior from a large dog owner. Even though it's a small dog, it's still annoying to have it jump on me, or chew up my flowers.
3. ****. All dog owners should pick up their animals ****. It's good health. Dog's love to sniff other dog's ****. Even with regular shoots and visits to the vet., **** holds doggy colds. Anyways, I typically see owners of small dogs ignoring the poop, an a typical large dog owner is scooping.

2 reasons:
1) Small dogs have very small brains. It’s a fact.
2) The owners of small dogs usually have them as a “prissy pet,” something they can treat like a baby and fuss over. And you wouldn’t put a leash on your baby brother, would you? (lol…I know some of you just said you would).

Little dogs are bread as toys, larger dogs were bread for intelligence. Little dogs weren’t bread to be smart, just to show off. I had a little dog, a miniature daschund – she had a lot of personality, but she couldn’t be trained to do much, but she was smart – they were bread to hunt rats and other vermin, so they do have intelligence. That can’t be said for poodles and the taco bell dog. They have no purpose except to put in your purse or wear as a living accessory. Every dog breed was bread for a purpose, most large dogs were bread to use some aspect of thier intelligence. Most small dogs weren’t.

Little dog owners generally think their pet behavior is “cute”. Most of time it is overlooked because of the basic size difference. If a small dog bites it probably will not hurt. If a large dog bites, you’re gonna know. Small dog poop, who is gonna notice? Large dog poop, who isn’t gonna notice? A large dog who jumps up on you is going to be considered rude. A small dog is a “lapdog”. I personally prefer teaching small dogs the same obedience skills as large dogs…if not isn’t it similar to discrimination? Anyway, until it is unacceptable for society..things will not change.

There are no bad dogs, only bad owners.
Apparently the owners of small dogs seem to have more irresponsible tendencies, at least in your experience.
Dogs are like children. They will get away with what they can, but they will also respond to discipline. Don’t blame the dogs for irresponsible owners; a proper dog owner will keep their dog on its leash, scoop its poop, and keep it from disturbing the neighbors no matter the size of the dog.
